Hi, my name is Tomasz Skrond! I’m a DevOps Engineer professionally interested in Open Source, Security & Coding.

In my free time I love to make music, hang out with my girlfriend and her cat and explore my Bare Metal Home Lab (Proxmox + Talos Linux cluster).

Tech Stack:
- Linux: using, configuring and troubleshooting RHEL (and derivatives), Debian, Talos Linux.
- Infrastructure as Code: maintaining HCP Terraform code for multiple environments across Cloud and On-Prem domains.
- Cloud: experience dealing with public cloud environments like GCP (preferred) and AWS.
- CI/CD: developing production-ready deployment/integration processes via Github Actions and Gitlab CI/CD.
- Kubernetes: managing GKE, self-hosted clusters (talos, k3s).
- Package management: strong practical experience with Helm/Helmfile and Kustomize.
- Programming: leveraging languages like Go, JS/TS, Python mainly as backend/scripting languages.
- Virtualization: managing Bare Metal servers via Proxmox VE & VMware ESXi.
- Monitoring: deployment, configuration and management of Prometheus + Grafana (kube-prometheus-stack), Loki Stack, ELK Stack, Splunk.
- Proxy Services: extensive usage of Nginx, Traefik, Kubernetes Gateway API, OAuth2 Proxy.
- Automation: automating tasks with Ansible, Bash Scripts.
- GitOps:knowledge of basic usages and principles behind GitOps way of working, using tools like Bitnami Sealed Secrets, ArgoCD/FluxCD.
